Men's Ministry
Roger Kane
|
|
The Portland Vineyard believes it is
important for men to sharpen each other "as iron
sharpens iron." The men of the Portland Vineyard
meet together for retreats, workshops, projects,
meals, etc. This time is for them to discuss
various men's issues such as character,
integrity, fatherhood, and other important
issues facing Godly men. There are also
opportunities for accountability groups,
outreach, and friendship.

Men's
Breakfasts
|
|

Men's Community
Breakfast: Open to all men of the church and
the local community, these gatherings are
typically held three times per year. After
food and fellowship, a guest speaker will focus
on a particular theme to be followed by open
discussion.
Small Group Breakfast:
Open to all men who would like to be a involved
in a small group, these gatherings are
held on the first and third Saturday morning's
of each month at the church facility. We
fellowship over breakfast, and then spend time
in worship, discussion and prayer. These
meetings are for the purpose of encouragement,
edification and accountability.
Special Events |
|
Single Day Events:
Several times per year, we plan events such as
group visits to a Portland Seadogs baseball game, hiking
in the Maine state parks,
white water rafting, canoe trip down the
Saco river,
attend Promise Keepers Events as well as Vision
New England men's conferences. |
Men's Retreat:
Every fall we hold a men's retreat at Purity
Springs
Resort in New Hampshire. This is a great
weekend for guys to get away from the daily
routine and enjoy real fellowship, great food
and fun activities. Each retreat has a specific
focus and often we invite a guest speaker to
expand on the general theme through teaching,
small group breakout sessions, and testimonies. |
